Contagion Series: PTSD # 2
PTSD # 2 - One of my jobs in the army was to understand and teach others about improvised explosive devices (IED’s). Just days after the training in Afghanistan, I encountered my first IED up close and personal. Fortunately, I was safe, and the threat was detonated later that day, proper training saved my life. This helmet is conveying the feelings of what that IED exploding in my face might have felt like.
